Our Tournaments
General Fundraising Tournaments - There are several General Fundraising Tournaments scheduled throughout the year. All golfers who have a heart to support Fore Adoption’s mission are welcome to register with a fee ranging from $200-250 for single golfers and $700-750 for teams of four players. All proceeds from these tournaments go toward FA’s operating expenses, which include staff and volunteer needs, as well as fulfilling FA’s efforts to make general (limited) grants to adoptive parents…and growing FA’s various programs, including the T.H.E.A. Fund (Adoptive Parents/Infants in NICU) and programs supporting and raising awareness for our local and national Foster Care System.
Adoptive Family Tournaments - Fore Adoption partners with specific families who have applied to join us in holding a tournament with the capacity to raise enough money to fund an entire adoption. Our partnered families are commissioned to find Golfers among their own network of friends, family and co-workers who - instead of paying a registration fee to play in the tournament - will agree to help these families and our organization raise money through “Crowdfunding.” In other words, our Families and Golfers will partner with us to raise as much money as possible from our own personal networks…i.e. people we call “Sponsors.”
Why do it this way?
First, because it maximizes our fundraising efforts. Crowdfunding has proven to be the most powerful, effective and efficient way to raise the most amount of money in the least amount of time. One person/golfer has the capacity to raise $1,000 (or more!) with just a few weeks of determined effort reaching out to a larger community. If 70 golfers do the same, that’s $70,000…i.e. we’ve just funded an entire adoption through a single tournament.
Second, because we believe our fight for these families and children ought to be a family affair. When we join together and passionately express the need FA is addressing as an organization, we’ve found that the people in our lives are deeply moved to give liberally to see these children provided with love, care, belonging……with family.
