Tyson Strategies LLC is a political and legal strategy firm focused on campaign finance, nonprofits, and redistricting, led by Bryan P. Tyson, who has extensive experience in civil litigation, appellate litigation, election law, and government.
From 2015-2018, Bryan served as the Executive Director of the Georgia Public Defender Council. He was appointed to that position by former Governor Nathan Deal. Bryan is a member of the Georgia and California bars. He serves as a member of the Indigent Defense Committee of the State Bar of Georgia. He was the 2014-2015 chair of the Appellate Practice Section of the State Bar and remains a member of that Section. He also served on the Governor’s Appellate Jurisdiction Review Commission in 2015.
Bryan earned his J.D. magna cum laude from the Oak Brook College of Law. He is a member of the Federalist Society, the Emory University Board of Visitors, and the American Enterprise Institute Leadership Network.
Bryan was awarded the 2017 Indigent Defense Award from the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He was also selected as one of five finalists for the Fulton County Daily Report’s 2015 Attorney of the Year award and was selected for inclusion in the 2011, 2014, and 2015 Georgia Super Lawyers—Rising Stars lists.
