Fore Adoption

Our Mission:

Family.

Using the greatest game ever played to SERVE the bravest decision ever made.

Our Impact

The hard truth…adoption is expensive. Really expensive. And that expense is such an overwhelming hurdle that it causes many to think adoption is just impossible for them. Our belief is that adoption should be unshackled from such a perception…from such a financial albatross. You may know that term “albatross” as…“something that causes deep anxiety”…or perhaps, “a large, web-footed seabird.” In golf, however, an albatross is known as a double eagle, which is scoring 3 under par on a single hole. For perspective…the chances of a hole-in-one is 12,000 to 1. An albatross… … 6 million to 1.

Many would-be adoptive parents consider the financial obligation of adoption, not only a cause for deep anxiety, but as an impossible feat. An albatross.

If you play golf and have a heart for adoption, please consider being a GOLFER in one of our upcoming Tournaments. If you are not a golfer and have a heart for adoption, please consider being a SPONSOR for one of our Golfers. We are also looking for CORPORATE PARTNERS …business owners who want to partner with us to cover Tournament expenses. If you know of anyone who fits that description, please send them our way!

All donations to Fore Adoption are a tax-deductible gift to us. But also consider the gift it would be to our adoptive parents…a husband & wife fully vetted by our Board of Directors…and now emboldened to shed the albatross and take the leap. Consider even further the gift it will be to their adopted child, rescued from institutional orphanage and into a stable, loving family.

...with a turn over rate of 30-50% among foster parents. According to the most recent federal data, there are currently more than 400,000 children in foster care in the United States. They range in age from infants to 21 years old (in some states). The average age of a child in foster care is more than 8 years old, and there are slightly more boys than girls.

cost to adopt

The Child Welfare Information Gateway, a U.S. government-funded adoption information service, estimates that the average U.S. adoption costs $8,000 to $40,000. If you're adopting a child from another country, the range is $15,000 to $30,000. If you're adopting through foster care, which generally involves becoming the parent of an older child, the cost is much lower: zero to $2,500.

average years to adopt

Your adoption wait time could be lower or higher depending upon where you adopt from, and the type of adoption you opt for can play a part in the wait time as well. For example, if you decide to adopt from outside of the country, you will have to follow not only your home country’s adoption rules, but also the rules of adoption in your child’s home country. With the combination or requirements, rules, and stipulations, waiting for your child can become a long process.

Our Mission

Using the greatest game ever played to serve the bravest decision ever made.

Adoption is a holy institution, designed by God to offer home and family, safety and belonging, son-ship and daughter-ship to one who would not have it otherwise; to eternally and positively alter the course of a child’s life who has been known by our Heavenly Father and chosen in Him “before the foundations of the earth” (Ephesians 1:4).

Ultimately, Fore Adoption exists to grow families through adoption.
